Who we are

MD Cars operates from 708 Napier Road, Palmerston North, New Zealand. For privacy questions, email webuycars@mdcars.co.nz or call 021 255 1121.

Information we collect

When you send a trade-in enquiry, we collect the contact information and vehicle details you choose to provide, such as your name, phone number, optional email address, make, model, registration, kilometres, notes, and any optional photos you upload showing your vehicle and its condition.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, discuss your vehicle, and manage related correspondence and assess your trade-in. Uploaded photos may show number plates, people, or personal belongings; please check your photos and avoid including identification documents, bank details, or other sensitive information in either pictures or enquiry notes.

Hosting and sharing

Enquiries submitted through the website are processed and stored using our website form service (Netlify when the website is hosted there), and are accessible to people handling enquiries for MD Cars. If you follow our finance application link, you leave this site and Kiwi Car Loans handles information under its own privacy terms. Our Trade Me and Google Maps links also take you to third-party websites.

Access, correction and retention

You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing the address above. We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, manage the enquiry, meet legitimate business needs, or comply with legal obligations. Ask us if you want us to review or delete details that are no longer required.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect enquiry information. No internet transfer can be guaranteed completely secure.

Updates

We may update this notice if our website or data-handling arrangements change. This is a plain-language summary of our approach to enquiries, and may need adjustment to reflect the website's final hosting and business processes.
